Design Responsive - Task 3

DESIGN RESPONSIVE 

Task  -

Use the blank studio brief for any live briefs we do as well.

In the session with Fred we began this concept statement and we were asked to complete them for our chosen brief and any other briefs that we were considering at the moment.

The brief i have chosen to execute is the Body Shop brief.




CONCEPT STATEMENT

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO? Create an innovative set of posters to make The Body Shop brand more appealing to a wider audience. Create an app or website that will also entice customers online aswel as the high street.  I want to create something ethical.

WHY ARE YOU GOING TO DO IT ?  I want to create something that will stand out and make people be more aware of body shop and there brand. It will widen The body shops following . Give the body shop more notoriety.

WHO ARE YOU DOING IT FOR? For the Body Shop and Cosmetic buyers. Beauty Enthusiasts  People who are passionate about the environment and ethics.

HOW ARE YOU GOING TO DO IT? Research in depth , Create mockups & Story boards. By a series of posters .  A visual campaign. Consider interactive methods.

WHAT DO YOU AIM TO PRODUCE?  A series of posters , a campaign  , Something interactive a web page & an app also research and pick appropriate methods for showing my images across's channels.

Our second task is to re-write the brief really pick it apart so we can really get an understanding of it - 

RE - WRITING THE BRIEF

THE BRIEF - The Body shop

CONSIDERATIONS - Connecting the physical and the digital shopping experience more coherently. Consider how much online and mobile shopping is used for the retail sector. Consider how ethical the brand is. Enforce the Forward thinking brand through design.

CONCEPT/PROPOSITION - Create a series of posters that  for one of each of the following products: Body butter, Nutriganics , Drops of Youth , Colour Crush lipsticks, White Musk & Eau De Parfum. Create a social campaign poster idea which emphasises a force for positive and environmental change. Propose design through a number of channels including digital.

BACKGROUND - The Body shop is an ethical brand it believes in fair trade. The body shop brand wants to be relevant for the future with their own unique visual identity that reflects what they are about.

TARGET AUDIENCE - Women 18-35 

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS - 5 A2 Posters 1 for each of the products and 1 for a positive social campaign + 3 Possible images showing your designs across channels consider interactive possibilities.(eg. Billboards bus stop , or web page) 

TONE OF VOICE - Informative

DELIVERABLES  - You’ll need to give a title and description for your work when you enter online. This title is the title of your response, not simply the name of the brief.The description is a short summary (max. 100 words). Don’t include the brief in this description. We will use this to help promote your work if it wins, and it will be available to the judges as supporting material. 

Images must be submitted as jpegs. Don't submit images in PDF only text.

5 REASONS WHY MY RESPONSE WILL WIN -

  • My idea will express the expand on the brands ethical and positive social attributes
  • My Idea will be innovative.
  • I will create something that is interactive.
  • I will create something to express a new visual language for the brand
  • My concept will widen the body shops following

Initial development:

Before i did any initial drawings i decided to do a little more research and researched about the body shop brand and i found a lot of posters and some information about how eco friendly they are and how they use recyclable bags and that there an ethical company. I printed some of these images off creating to small story boards and annotated a few notes that are appropriate.
