The Pattern Festival - Boards

THE PATTERN FESTIVAL BOARDS

Other Proposed Collateral

PROPOSED COLLATERAL

When researching for this brief i looked into creative advertising and how there are special ways of showcasing work so the target audience would see it.

I felt like creating mockups of large posters would be beneficial for my exhibition.

I really like this mockup that i have produced i think its essential to have my poster advertising the pattern festival in a train station so that creatives would see it when commuting.

Large exhibition banners- This mockup is perfect as it gave me to sides to display my work on.

FURTHER PROPOSED WEBSITE/PAGES

I decided i would mockup a few pages which would be an example if i was to carry on with my exhibition and if it was to happen more than once.

I decided my exhibition would be by annually as it would happen twice a year 6 different artists/designers who specialise in pattern design would feature in it.

First page is a coming soon page statin autumn 2014 it gives the options about how to get involved and look at the most recent event which was the pattern festival not he 6.6.14.

After clicking on the get involved page it would take you to another window giving you three options to either click on the autumn exhibition which would be simply some brief information, 'vote for your favourite' this is another option i thought of if the exhibition was to ask people who are your favourite designers out of a list of people you could vote for your own the highest designers voted for would be the next 6 featured in the exhibition in the autumn. the last option is for you to pre book tickets.

I am really pleased i decided to propose other pages for my exhibition and decided what it would actually consist of it was to happen at another date. I definitely consider doing this next proposed exhibition in third year as i enjoyed this brief a lot.

GRID-

This is the grid i used

10x7

FIRST MOCKED UP PAGE-

I used the tate website to mockup my webpage for the pattern festival as it was being featured in the Tate it made sense and as my pattern festival would possibly only be by annual it made sense.

Copying there layout and there content placement i added in my own images to the whats ons section.

Menu:

Calendar:
Whats on page - i added lines to break up the content from the image-
Using an image i took from the left hand side i added it in the mocked up web page.
Finished page-

I lastly added in four small squares to demonstrate which page you were on.

SECOND PAGE-

I put the title centrally

Coming soon-

I added ' The 6 creatives & 'Buy tickets' to the page this would define which page you went to next.
I also added in some shapes to keep with the consistency of the pattern festival theme.
Finished page:
THIRD PAGE-

For this page i made sure the 6 creatives button was lighter although that was the page that had been clicked on.

Keeping with the aesthetics i added a hexagon for each of the artists names
I put the artists initials inside of the shape and there full name underneath -
Finished page :
FOURTH PAGE-

For the fourth page i made a page that you would be directed to after clicking on the specific artist.

I moved the hexagon over to the left and added a bio about them.
Next to the information i added an example of the work they produce.

I lastly added the same buttons i added on the first page so you would be able to scroll through more images and artists work.

FINAL PAGE-

The last page i designed was for the tickets of the pattern festival to be bought.

Using a photography image i took  of the tickets i placed that in the centre of the web page.

I added in the buttons for , student , professional  & General admission.
Final page-
