Photography - Information & Wayfinding

PHOTOGRAPHY - INFORMATION & WAYFINDING

Before i began photographing in the photography studio downstairs i decided to play everything out on the desk so i could make sure i had a good idea of how i was going to place everything.

It was especially important i laid out the hexagons as i wanted to have a clear structure of what shape would go next to each other when i got down there. I took an image on my phone so i could refer to it as i was in the studio.

PHOTOGRAPHY STUDIO IMAGES -

These images weren't very successful i spent about 40 minutes positioning everything on to the wall and then the photography wasn't working. The lighting just wasn't how i wanted i needed natural light. I altered the light a few times and spent about 2 hours photographing.

Getting the white balance right-

Unfortunately i didn't work in the photography studio so i decided to move to the classroom when  i took down my work i snapped the letter 'i' luckily i was able to turn it over and re-spray paint.

MOVING TO THE CLASSROOM-

I was very very pleased with the first lot of photos for 'The pattern festival' When it came to doing the individual artists ones they weren't as successful and the sun had started to go in. I spent a day moving from photography studio to the classroom and trying to get everything photographed it was very stressful. Im not very pleased with the individual images so i will try re-photography if i have time.
