Design Boards Studio brief 1 - Workshop 1

PRESENTING OUR BOARDS

Before we broke for lunch we presented our boards to a group of 6/8 and we all gave each other feedback and about our research.

I could try doing - An exhibition of Pattern Design & Branding identity , Brands that associate with there logos.

I was also advised to look at these artists :

• William Morris

• Cath Kidston

• Pendleton american 60's

The session after the break Workshop 1 involved looking at our boards from hand in and taking note of things we had done incorrectly and what we could improve on.

Next we discussed what things you should and shouldn't include on final design boards

Things not to Include 

• Initial sketches unless its appropriate

• Dont write in first person

• Typos

• Printing issues 

• Poor image quality 

• Too much text

• Just images 

Things to Include

• Number boards

• Titles 

• Your own work (good Quality)

• High resolution images

Next we had to have our design boards from the previous module crited by the group.

Things I need to improve on:

• Don't write in first person 

• Make sure to number boards

• Make it more visual

• Don't have as much text
