Asos d&ad Idea generation

Asos brief - Idea Generation

For the  second meet with carmel we had both had set things to research mine being typography, editorial design, existing apps. Carmel researched trends an idea for pattern design. She brought with her some boards and i showed her my research digitally.

Her boards had two different types of pattern design geometric and floral we felt the geometric style would be best suited and its also my design style so it was most appropriate choice. She also brought a board with vectors of different styles of clothes.

We decided that would be another part of our app and would be to help users define there search by clicking on the image of the clothes type.

Geometric style / Monochrome -

We next made a mind map -

We made a list of what would go onto each page of the publication , the publication will be a mini one that comes inside of the normal asos magazine.

We have 3 main parts to our interactive app.
  • Dress me up - Keep it unisex - Clothing app put yourself into the clothes virtual wardrobe.
  • Categories/Location - Taking pictures of yourself and tagging the location and the clothes to the asos website.
  • Refine search with clothes

Were managing the work load by setting research points. For the next time we meet we will both:
  • Come up with name variations.
  • Location examples
  • Designing a pattern.

I will focus on
  • Editorial design
  • Make a pattern
  • Typefaces
  • Fashion apps.
Meeting once a week is helping us to keep everything in order and keep on top of the work load. we are at the stage were at the next meeting we will be able to begin designing and put our research and concepts into practice.
