For the next part of the session we created a new document.
New document -
We saved this image in photoshop as a duo tone image and the spot colours from photoshop transferd over.
We also added an image we created from illustrator and placed it into indesign the colours still stayed on the image and you can edit the colour swatches in indesign.
We opened up a document into Indesign-
when we print for commerical ink we are very aware of the colours we are using.
The Overprint preview does the same thing as the separations view.
How colour is built up in the process.
Cyan
Yellow
Black is the key the last value.
We opened up the printer settings to have a look at what options we can set before we go ahead with the print.
We selected the OUTPUT option in the left hand side box and then clicked on separations. We then were able to remove which colours we didn't need yet you should always delete what colours you don't need anyway whilst working.
Over print preview -
Over print preview manages your positives on your document.
Attributes are object specific.
Selecting this option will show you the colours that you want to over lap (overprint) but you can only see this option in the overprint view.
