Web GETTING STARTED - Task 

We were asked by Phil & Lorraine to bring in 5 printed examples of websites we like the homepage or any page and A3 in colour.


CANAL MILLS WEBSITE   - SOURCE

The Cannal Mills website is for a venue in leeds it advertises different nights and events throughout the year. I chose this website souly because of the aesthetics and the square images that are for the individual pages.

I like how an image is used for the main image with the title of the website in the centre its different from other websites. The pagination is split with forward slashes to break them up, its really simple and easy to navigate. The pale off white colour works well as it compliments the images rather just having a white website.

AQUA COUTURE BLOG - SOURCE

I chose the Aqua Couture blog  Website of the simplicity of the website.I think this website works so well because the actual template of the site is really simple and monochrome yet it constantly uses lots of bright colours in the images and photography so it balances well. It has social network links in black circles which are really accessible. The typeface the use is simple and easily read and the navigation works well. I picked this website because the style of the template would be perfect for my web idea about geometry.

RAT&BOA - SOURCE

The rat & boa website  i have chosen is for a clothing brand in Middlesborough i love the typography used to creat the title along the top bar and all of the pagination is really simple and easy to navigate. The large image used in the middle rotates and a different image scrolls across like a slide show. The website is aesthetically pleasing and engaging when you first click on it which i think is important.

SBTRKT - SOURCE

I picked this website for SBTRKT as i felt it was really appropriate for my album art idea for web. I love how all the images are in perfect squares and because some of the images are quite dark or have black on them they work really well against the black background. The pagination is simply in white text. I love the use of monochrome with the coloured images. All of the images can be clicked on to take you to the specific page.

APPLE WEBSITE - SOURCE 

The last website i looked at was the Apple website its really accessible and easy to navigate. The image in the middle changes to different apple products which can be clicked on to take you to the specific page. Although this website isn't really visually engaging and exciting its fitting for its purpose and does the job. It has the clean and simple aesthetics of all Apple products.
